This is a charming blog, Katie. In fact many of the ladies at the current Singer Sargent exhibition at Kenwood are also mentioned in the current Cartier exhibition at the V & A. There is another exhibition, just opened (which I haven't seen yet) at Mapperton House in Dorset on a similar theme called 'Gilded Age - American Heiresses at Mapperton' which is on until 30 September. I hope to see that one, too.

Thanks for sharing such an interesting article Katie. I've put a trip to Kenwood House in my diary as a must-do for the summer holidays.

My sister-in-law and I really enjoyed your tour around the Hidden Gardens of London a couple of years ago which we really enjoyed. It's great to find you on Substack!

I love Kenwood House - such a gem! We live in North London, so it’s basically in our backyard. Love the cafe and the Notting Hill connection!
